Gene editing therapy is an emerging area of therapeutics with the potential for curative treatment. Advances in genomics, gene-editing methodologies, immunology and drug delivery technologies are driving a revolution in healthcare. Mendelian genetic disease is chosen as the path to demonstrate our technological success. In the cardiovascular area, while the use of chronic therapies that typically must be taken repeatedly and frequently for the remainder of the lifetime, genome editing will enable the development of “one-and-done” therapies with durable effects. Although several limitations and difficulties still need to be conquered, this technology holds great promises in the treatment of human viral infectious diseases and cancer.

 

We aim to provide more powerful gene editing solutions with safer profiles than existing approaches.
